Jenison Youth Basketball

Jenison's Youth Basketball program is expanding. Here are the three ways K-6 students can play next year:

Skill Development (K-2)

Learn the fundamentals of ball handling, dribbling, passing, and shooting form.

JYB League Play (3-6)

Play in a youth league against students from other Jenison schools.

Jenison Wild Travel(3-6)

Competitive try-out travel team for students interested in a more significant commitment.

Baton Twirling Classes Come join the fun and learn how to twirl a baton! Baton twirling is making a comeback as the latest and greatest sensation! Don’t miss out on all the fun! 2023 ExploreHope Summer Camps Want to encourage your student(s) to continue to explore over the summer? Hope College's Summer Camps can help! Middle and high school programs allow students to explore careers and a day in the life of scientists and engineers. Topics include programming Raspberry Pi, Neuroscience, Solar Cell Research, and a peek into bird research. Scholarships available! More information on our STEM Summer Camps. GVSU Youth Basketball Camp When: June 26th - 28th Grades: 2 - 8 Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Cost: $150 Learn basketball's fundamentals, compete, and have some fun! Jenison Robotics Summer Camp Summer Robotics Summer Camp is available for students going into 4th-6th grades. VEX IQ Robotics Day Camp goes from 1:00pm-4:00pm on June 19-22 at the Jenison Robotics Building, 1889 Baldwin St, Jenison. Cost is $100. Registration will be available on our website. Story Walks Ottawa County parks offers Story Walks. Walk along the paths with your family and read the picture books posted on signs and look for things to do. Be sure to check the calendar for dates and parks.		Explore local playgrounds Look no further than this giant list of area playgrounds for some of the best places around to play!
Splash Pads Did you know that Jenison is home to two great splash pads? Kids can choose their own “level of wet’ at either Maplewood Park or Rosewood Park Splash pads.		Trail Maps Looking for outdoor fun for your family?: There is a new interactive non-motorized trail map which features 4,600 miles of trails. You can also download free apps – “All Trails” for Apple or Google Play and “GR Walks” for Apple or Google Play.

Draw Club offers drawing classes for Ages 7-16.

Kent District Library LAB Experience (ages 5-10)

TheKDL LAB Experience promotes creativity, problem solving skills and unstructured exploration time for school-age children and teens. Carefully selected learning tools and activities are designed to help students increase their proficiency in STEAM disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math. Get your questions answered and register at the KDL website.

Play N Learn

What is Play N Learn? It's a free program designed for families with children birth through age five. Infant group is for children birth-24 months. Each session will be based on a children’s book and will include:

story
fingerplays
creative art experiences
educational play

Rebounderz Adventure Park

Come and try our Trampoline Activities, In-the-Air Dodgeball, 6-Lane Foam Pit, Air-Basketball, and Open Jump Arena. As well as our Ninja Warrior Course (44” and Over) featuring more than 250’ of different obstacles with Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Lanes. Conquer the Jump Extreme Tower (44” and Over / 200lbs and Under) Laser Tag, Mini Golf, Mini Escape Rooms or let your little ones enjoy the Tri-Level Playground (54” and Under) and Kangaroo Pillow (44” and Under). JPS Aquatics Swimming

Lap Swim

We ask that patrons check every Sunday for the upcoming lap swim schedule for that week. If you want to pay as you go, you can pay the lifeguard on deck. Residents of Jenison School District or those with current School of Choice kids are $3.00 per swim. Non-Residents of Jenison School District are $4.00 per swim. We offer a one month membership and a six month membership for the price of five months. More info can be found on our Aquatics website.

Flick’s Family Film

Flick’s Family Film offers different kids movies every month. Kids under 12 are FREE and everyone else is just $5. See Celebration's website for more info.

John Ball Zoo Any Michigan resident who carries a MI Bridges card, including WIC, can attend John Ball Zoo for free with up to 9 free household members through the JUMP program. Purchase tickets. 		Golden Age Passes Jenison Golden Age passes can be obtained by anyone 60 years or older who reside within the Jenison Public School District. They are free to those who qualify, and are accepted at any home or away OK Conference athletic event. Please bring your ID to our Administrative office located at 8375 20th Ave or the High School Athletic Office located at 2140 Bauer Rd during business hours.
