Community Opportunities

Play N Learn

What is Play n Learn? It's a free program designed for families with children birth through age five. Infant group is for children birth-24 months. Each session will be based on a children’s book and will include:

  • story
  • fingerplays
  • creative art experiences
  • educational play

Each family will also receive a children’s book to take home. Information on child development and reading readiness will be available for parents. Address locations listed on back QUESTIONS? Michigan Ballet Academy's Nutcracker

Michigan Ballet Academy is presenting the magical holiday classic, The Nutcracker. Students living in Jenison receive a special discounted ticket price of $14. Come join us on Friday, December 17 at 7:00 PM, Saturday, December 18 at 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM, and Sunday, December 19 at 2:30 PM at the Jenison Center for the Arts, 8375 20th Avenue, Jenison, MI 49428. Purchase tickets at www.michiganballet.org. Enter the discount code STUDENTS14 before completing check out. A Nutcracker Tea Party will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 19th before the 2:30 PM performance. Tickets for the tea party are $20 each and are sold separately. The Tea Party includes lunch, desserts, story-telling, craft activity, photos with the characters, and door prizes.

Golden Age Passes

Jenison Golden Age passes can be obtained by anyone 60 years or older who reside within the Jenison Public School District.  They are free to those who qualify, and are accepted at any home or away OK Conference athletic event.  Please bring your ID to our Administrative office located at 8375 20th Ave or the High School Athletic Office located at 2140 Bauer Rd during business hours.


Lap Swim

We ask that patrons check every Sunday for the upcoming lap swim schedule for that week. If you want to pay as you go, you can pay the lifeguard on deck. Residents of Jenison School District or those with current School of Choice kids are $3.00 per swim. Non-Residents of Jenison School District are $4.00 per swim. We offer a one month membership and a six month membership for the price of five months.
