Floats are a big part of the Homecoming experience so this week we visited the #Classof2029 to see how their float was coming along! Led by Mrs. Kirkland and Mr. Battle, the students were working on the float in the high school’s woodshop. They had a Motown theme and it looks GREAT. Awesome work #Classof2029 and here’s a sneak peek without giving too much away! #JenisonHOCO25

Special shoutout to our Jenison High School Seniors of the Month for October... Brody Schuiteman, Shayley Dean, Alicyn Palmbos, Kamden VanMaanen, and Zibby Zuber! We dug into the archives for one of our top photos of them during their time here at JHS and had to share.
These seniors were chosen by administrators, teachers and staff based on their academic performance, involvement in school activities, positive attitude, overall contribution to JHS, and as students who exemplify all six pillars of the Wildcat Way.
Congratulations students!

The 15th annual Bauerwood Elementary bike adventure to the John Ball Zoo was another huge success last week! Fifth graders had perfect weather biking to and from the zoo along the Grand River. When they arrived, they made observations and collected data. They also attended an Exhibit Design class at the zoo. Way to go, Bauerwood 5th graders!

Special shoutout to boys soccer for a comeback last night to tie 11th ranked Byron Center 1-1! After the game was postponed for weather last week, it resumed in the second half and Jenison scored a few minutes in. Way to go soccer!

The very first project of the 2024 Bond Proposal is officially complete! Yesterday, we cut the ribbon on 16 brand-new tennis courts, joined by members of the Board of Education, staff, and our construction and design partners, Triangle Associates and GMB.

Our friends at Paws With A Cause ® dropped by last week to see how our facility dogs were doing and it didn’t take long for them to witness how much joy Zeppelin, Mystic, and Oshie bring to their campuses! Paws with a Cause® interviewed students and staff for an upcoming feature. Students were hugging, reading, and relaxing with the dogs as they shared the powerful impact the dogs had on their lives. Great work Zeppelin, Mystic, and Oshie!

After a strong third place finish at the Toledo Regional recently, Jenison Bands put on quite a show during the 39th annual Jenison Marching Band Invitational over the weekend! The stands were packed when the band, in this season’s uniforms, took the field under the lights. Enjoy these photos and awesome performance band!

While the outcome wasn't what we had hoped for, the effort, energy and passion displayed at Friday night's football game was incredible!
