With a student-centered focus, JIA offers personalized learning opportunities beyond the traditional classroom to develop a community of learning.  From fully online to blended courses, JIA prepares students to be successful in our dynamic world.

Program Overviews

JIA middle and high school programming serve families in grades 6-12 throughout West Michigan with online, blended, and traditional learning options.  Our committed and caring staff go above and beyond, always keeping the student first.

JIA Middle School (6-8)

JIA Middle School provides personalized learning experiences for students in grades 6-8 by providing mastery-based programming with flexible options.  Our committed teachers at JIA understand that junior high is a time of transition when students need a stable learning environment that fosters a positive atmosphere of cooperation and respect.  By challenging students with high expectations, students grow as critical thinkers and life-long learners.

Middle School students enrolled in JIA are provided with the following learning options through Jenison Public Schools:

  • Split Schedule Learning Options: Students may elect to take 1-2 face-to-face courses at Jenison Junior High.
  • Learning Center on JIA’s campus & Virtual Learning Center
  • Live virtual class sessions weekly
  • STEM-focused curriculum available
  • Educational Development Plans (EDPs)
  • Enrollment in High School Courses
  • Participation in MHSAA Athletics, Clubs, Organizations, and Extracurricular Activities
  • Participation in Performing Arts and Music Programs
  • Jenison Student I.D.

JIA High School (9-12)

JIA High School provides personalized learning experiences for students in grades 9-12 by delivering the highest quality learning opportunities with flexible options.  Our committed senior high teachers believes in challenging students with high expectations that help them grow as critical thinkers and lifelong learners to reach their post-secondary goals. JIA Senior High provides a rigorous curriculum to prepare students to be successful citizens in our ever-changing world.

Senior High School students enrolled in JIA are provided with the following learning options through Jenison Public Schools:

  • Split Schedule Learning Options: Students may elect to take 1-2 face-to-face courses at Jenison High School.
  • Blended weekly high school and college courses offered onsite
  • Tech Center Programs are available through multiple counties.
  • Learning Center on JIA’s campus & Virtual Learning Center
  • Live virtual class sessions weekly
  • STEM focus with college prep Engineering Program
  • Educational Development Plans (EDPs)
  • College prep programming, Dual Enrollment, and Advanced Placement (AP) options available
  • Participation in MHSAA Athletics, Clubs, Organizations, and Extracurricular Activities
  • Participation in Performing Arts and Music Programs
  • Jenison Student I.D.
