Two favorite Jenison traditions return on Friday, September 18, 2026, as we welcome our newest Wildcats and bring elementary students together for a special night under the lights at McKenzie Stadium.

JPS elementary families are invited to join us for the Kindergarten Tailgater and Kid Cats Game as the Wildcats take on Caledonia. Wear your green and white and help us fill the stadium with Wildcat pride!

Kindergarten Tailgater - Welcoming the Class of 2039

Hosted by the Jenison Public Education Foundation, the Kindergarten Tailgater is a special tradition that officially welcomes our newest Wildcats, the Class of 2039 from 6:00–6:30 p.m.

Kindergarten students can pick up their Class of 2039 T-shirt and connect with fellow kindergarten families. Look for the Tailgater tables near the baseball fields on your way to McKenzie Stadium.

At 6:30 p.m., Kindergarten students will make a memorable entrance into the football stadium alongside Superintendent Dr. Brandon Graham before joining our other elementary students to form the Kid Cats Tunnel.

Kid Cats Game - Celebrating Wildcat Tradition

All TK–6 students are invited to join the fun and help welcome the Jenison varsity football team onto the field!

At 6:40 p.m., Elementary students will gather on the track to form the Kid Cats Tunnel for the Wildcats. After the team takes the field, students will return to their parents or designated building seating section.

7:00 p.m. Kickoff - Jenison Wildcats vs. Caledonia

Students are encouraged to wear green and white to school and the game on Friday!

JPS Athletics tickets and entry are cashless. A special $10 TK–6 Family Pass is available for this game only and includes admission for up to six family members. Purchase TK - 6 Family Pass here.

Families are encouraged to review the Parking & Seating Map before arriving to help make entry into McKenzie Stadium as smooth as possible.
