Jenison Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Mroz as the district’s next Assistant Superintendent following an internal posting and interview process.
With the recent announcement of Assistant Superintendent Leslie Philipps’ retirement, district leadership began the process of identifying the next leader to serve in this important role. Jon’s appointment ensures continued leadership stability and reflects Jenison Public Schools’ commitment to developing and advancing talented professionals from within the organization.
Jon began his career with Jenison Public Schools in 2007 as a classroom teacher and has served as the Principal of Sandy Hill Elementary since 2013. During his tenure, he has earned the respect of students, staff, and families through his commitment to fostering positive school culture, supporting employee growth, and strengthening systems that help students succeed.
Throughout his career, Jon has demonstrated a deep belief in the mission, values, and traditions of Jenison Public Schools. His leadership has been characterized by a student-centered approach, a collaborative spirit, and a dedication to continuous improvement.
