Community members, staff, and district partners are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Maintenance & Transportation Center on Tuesday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. The event will include self-guided tours of the facility.
Thanks to the support of Jenison voters, who approved the district’s 2024 bond proposal, the center brings together transportation, maintenance, operations, and district mail services under one roof. It will create a centralized hub designed to better support students, staff, and families.
“This facility is an important behind-the-scenes investment that supports every building, every student, and every employee across our district,” said Superintendent Dr. Brandon Graham. “While classrooms are where learning happens, our maintenance, transportation, and operations teams play a critical role in ensuring students arrive safely, schools operate efficiently, and our facilities remain exceptional learning environments. We are grateful to our community for making this project possible.”
The Maintenance & Transportation Center will include a:
Transportation drivers lounge
Conference room
Dispatch office
Transportation maintenance repair bays and bus wash facilities
Centralized district mail center
Administrative offices and collaboration spaces
Blueprint room preserving district building plans and historical facility documentation
The Maintenance & Transportation Center is one of several projects included in Jenison Public Schools’ 2024 bond program, which focuses on improving facilities, enhancing safety, supporting operations, and preparing for the future needs of students and the community.
