Senior Dylan Clack has been named the 2026 Boys Basketball Positive Athlete of the Year for Michigan by Positive Athlete Great Lakes, an honor recognizing student-athletes who demonstrate outstanding character, leadership, and impact within their communities.

Clack earned the statewide recognition for his commitment to inclusion and leadership through Jenison Unified Sports, where he has built meaningful relationships while mentoring Special Olympics athletes and promoting positivity and respect among his peers.

More than 16,000 student-athletes and coaches from over 6,300 high schools nationwide were nominated for the 2026 awards program, according to Positive Athlete. Fewer than 1% were ultimately selected as award winners.

“This prestigious honor reflects exceptional achievement in both character and performance,” the organization stated in its announcement to him.

Clack will be honored during the 2026 Michigan Positive Athlete Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, June 10 at Comerica Park. Following the ceremony, he will participate in an on-field recognition before a Detroit Tigers game in front of thousands of fans.

The recognition marks a memorable conclusion to Clack’s high school career and highlights the lasting impact he has made through sportsmanship, mentorship, and inclusion within the Jenison community.
