"Driving Our Future!"

Our Mission

Together as a team, we at Jenison Transportation Services take pride in the services we provide.  Safety, care, professionalism and cost-effectiveness are our priorities.

Accomplishing Our Mission

With a fleet of 33 buses, our highly qualified drivers transport approximately 2,400 students each day over 16 square miles.  In addition, our mechanic works hard to keep the bus fleet in excellent working condition. We consistently receive the highest marks for safety and reliability from the Michigan State Police bus inspection team.

Transportation Policy

Transportation is available for students who live outside of the walk area (1.2 miles) for the school they will be attending. If a student is bused, in addition to the home area stop, they have the option of one extra bus stop at a caregiver location. Daycare provider information will be reviewed, and, if possible, the district will try to arrange transportation (for more information please refer to the Caregiver Transportation Guidelines). Additionally, we cannot guarantee transportation of students whose caregivers are located outside of the home enrollment area.

Request/Change Transportation

If you would like to request transportation for your student, notify us if your student no longer requires transportation, or need to make a change for drop-off/pick-up location - please use the link below to submit a transportation change request. *NOTE: Submitted requests during the school year can take up to 3 business days to process.

Requests for 2018-2019 school year transportation - please submit your online form by Friday, July 27, 2018.  Postcards will be mailed to houses with all the busing information by August 10, 2018. Parents will have until August 17, 2018 to contact Transportation for any changes to the postcard information. After that, there will be no busing adjustments until September 11, 2018.

*****Construction on Cottonwood*****

We have been looking over the Cottonwood Drive project and have to make adjustments to our busing area due to the construction. It is evident that we will not be able to drive through certain areas with our buses. We will continue to monitor and keep you updated.  The project's slated finish date has been pushed back two weeks to early November.

If you live in the area between Wallin Dr. and Baldwin St., off or on Cottonwood, your student will need to be at one of three temporary bus stops - you can pick the closest stop to your home. The three stops are:

1. Cottonwood Forest Apt - across from the office

2. The corner of Wallin Dr. & Fairwood Dr.

3. Cottonwood Church, 1101 Cypress Dr.

The time your bus will be to these stops will be close to the time of your normal pick up as stated on your postcard. We ask that if you are utilizing one of these choices, to be at the stop 10 minutes before. We also would like to remind you to look for the "Character" on the bus, making sure it matches what your postcard stated, so your student boards the right bus.

Again, we will constantly be monitoring the project and updating you to areas we can start traveling on as the work is getting closer to completion.

Thank you for your understanding!!
