High School Programming

High School students in grades 9-12 have the flexibility of earning a Jenison Public School diploma either 100% online or a blend of online and on-campus classes.  Online students utilize the Jenison Blackboard platform.

High School students enrolled in JIA are provided with the following opportunities through Jenison Public Schools:

  • Quality online courses with live, interactive Class Connect sessions taught by local instructors
  • Participation in extracurricular activities, clubs, and organizations
  • Opportunities for Advanced Placement ourses and AP testing for college credit
  • Regular communication with a JIA Mentor Teacher
  • Options for Duel Enrollment in college classes
  • Flexibility of Scheduling (100% Online or Blended Programming)
  • Participation in the Performing Arts and Music Programs
  • Participation in MHSAA Athletics
  • Educational Development Plans (EDPs) and Career Pathway Exploration
  • Course options at Careerline Tech Center or KCTC
  • A Jenison Student I.D.

Junior High Programming

Junior High School students in grades 7 & 8 are provided mastery-based educational programming delivered and supported by JIA staff, based on an personalized academic plan.  7th graders utilize the K12 Inc. web-based platform, while 8th graders access their courses from the Jension Blackboard platform.

Junior High School students enrolled in JIA are provided with the following opportunities through Jenison Public Schools:

  • Mastery-based Programming
  • Regular communication with a JIA Mentor Teacher
  • Weekly live, interactive Class Connect sessions with core teachers (math, science, social studies, and English)
  • Educational Development Plans (EDPs)
  • Options for enrollment in High School Courses
  • Participation in extracurricular activities, clubs, and organizations
  • Flexibility of Scheduling (100% Online or Blended Programming)
  • Participation in the Performing Arts and Music Programs

Computer Work

Elementary School Programming

Elementary School students in grades 1-7 are provided K12 Inc. mastery-based curriculum, which is delivered and supported by JIA staff, based on an individualized academic plan.  Elementary students utlize a web-based platform with options for participation in weekly STEM education lessons at the JIA Offices.

Elementary School students enrolled in JIA are provided with the following opportunities through Jenison Public Schools:

  • Regular communication with a JIA Mentor Teacher
  • Participation in Weekly, On-Campus STEM education lessons
  • Direct Parent Support
  • Access to On-Site or Virtual Tutoring sessions with Jenison Staff
  • A Jenison Student I.D.
