Welcome to K +
K+ is a literacy enrichment program that provides enhanced half day childcare for working parents. We provide time for indoor and outdoor play, literacy activities, arts & crafts, a nutritious lunch and so much more!
Our Goals:
- To provide a loving safe, nurturing, and relaxed environment where the children's physical and emotional needs are met.
- To develop respect for others, self, the environment, and materials.
- To help the children develop self-control and a clear understanding of the expectations in this environment.
- To provide a routine that allows for the type of activities that the children might be involved in if they were at home.
- To provide supervised care in an environment where the children will develop an enthusiasm for learning, exploring, and creating through the use of constructive play activities in the areas of art, drama, literature, music, and movement.
- To provide an environment which calls for children to listen and follow directions.
- To provide ample opportunity to develop cooridnation and large motor skills through physical activity and indoor and outdoor play.
- To provide an opportunity to become independent and responsible through self-directed and individualized activities.
- To provide a nutritious lunch.
- To provide literacy experiences each day that may include reading, phonemic awareness activities, music, and puppetry.
