Catch the Pride

Since its inception, Jenison Public Schools has maintained a strong tradition of excellence which is characterized by the many achievements of our students and the exceptional quality of our staff. “Jenison Pride” is evident throughout the district in the rigorous and relevant curriculum that is offered, the quality of instruction, our caring and committed staff, vast and varied extracurricular opportunities, and extensive parental involvement.

Over the years, Jenison Public Schools has earned local, state, and national recognition as one of the premier school districts in Michigan. Jenison High School has received such prestigious awards as being named one of the best high schools in America by Newsweek magazine, and selected as a Grammy Signature School by the Grammy Foundation. We were also identified as one the “100 Best Communities” in the nation for music education. Graduates of Jenison Public Schools have distinguished themselves at many of the finest universities and in their chosen professions.

Catch the “Pride” as our tradition of excellence continues…

Staff Program for Fitness a Success!

Over 60 Jenison High School and Jenison Junior High School staff members have successfully completed a fitness program called SPF 30  (Staff Program for Fitness).  Developed by high school physical education teacher Dave Larkin, the volunteer program required participants to complete a minimum of 20 minutes of physical activity at least three times per week over a 10 week period.  Collectively, the participants lost 951 pounds over ten weeks.  The picture below shows some of the participants wearing their SPF 30 t-shirts which were donated by Superior Sports.  Congratulations to a healthy staff!
